| Cardinal - I have found the Cardinal to be one of the most difficult birds to photograph. Most of the time they land and their gone, before I get the first photo. You have one chance each time they visit an area. What I found helped, was to study their behavior. I could tell by their movements when they were ready to fly and could almost time each visit the same. This could be part of their defense from predators since the bright red plumage does stand out. They do have a habit of announcing their visit with chirping which helps if you are within hearing distance. |
