| House Finch - The house finch photos below where taken to show the four seasons. The plumage of the House Finch is brighter in the spring and summer. Although the winter snow will contrast the red feathers, you will notice that the plumage is a little duller in winter. House finches have been populating more areas across the country over the past several years and have been competing with the beautiful yellow Gold Finch at most of the feeders that provide thistle seed. The male sings a beautiful song that can be heard spring and summer. |
